Ski France & Ski Austria – Affordable Skiing

The original concept of Ski for Sadie was that an individual started in the northern most resort of Chatel and finished in the most southern of Isola 2000; taking in 12-14 areas along the way, as interconnecting as possible with some short end of day transfers on occasions.

As Ski for Sadie organically developed into what it has become, the idea of this kind of challenge was extremely complicated logistically for larger groups.

Now as a foundation we have operational experience, Ski for Sadie has satellite events throughout the season for individuals to take part in; raise awareness for the foundation; fundraising; take part in a challenge and properly an experience like no other!

Both Ski France and Austria are limited to five participants per date; however, anyone can register and partake in their own version. Obtaining support packs; information on logistics and organisation, along with contacts for arrangements.

In essence, these two events; skiing across France and Austria; taking in multiple areas per day – that’s an impressive amount of km’s and an impressive achievement in six days!

The largest ski areas in the world are skied during these challenges including Tignes, 3 Valleys, St Anton, Portes d Soliul, Saalbach and Ski Welt. They also include some areas that may not be on the main skiing radar but are extremely impressive in size and terrain; such as Schldaming, Isola 2000, Vars/Risoul and Solden.

Both events are not specifically fundraisers and there is no obligation to do so. Beyond the event entrance fee, we liaise with operators to organise the ground arrangements and logistics. The aim is to raise awareness by documenting on social media and we will have a daily blog and blog on happenings and progress.

Ultimately, they are challenges that will certainly challenge; ski endurance; ski marathons. Covering a vast amount of terrain and varied piste categories; lunch in a rucksack consumed in the lift midday.
