Austria here we come

“Not quite on the scale of Scott to the Antarctic; however we are, and will be, stepping up to take on some skiing adventures this session.

We will be supporting www.sadiebristowfoundation.org.uk with the Ski Austria event taking place beginning of February. An epic week across Austria taking in as many ski areas as possible; covering as much terrain on a daily basis. We will make this happen and have 4 people committed in joining us www.skiforsadie.org.uk

Stewart will also be attempting “The Inferno” race in Murren middle of January. More on this soon.

Beforehand, as two families, we are heading off to Austria middle of Decemeber. It will be a very ad hoc affair due to the current pandemic. Flights are booked. Beginning of December we will start to look at our options. These will depend on snow conditions; open resorts and ski areas.

With Austria under a general lockdown with the current go ahead to reopen all resorts in early December, flexibility is the key. We have already been offered excellent accommodation deals that would generally not be available so close to departure.

Our choice’s at the moment are..

– Solden

– Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis

Solden being a glacier and already having been operational since middle of October is a snow sure option. Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. Wonderful ski area and resort for families; ideally what we need

Info on both these areas can be found below

We will be blogging about all from 12th December onwards; including daily Facebook posts. We will include all the resources and how we have gone about it; how we have found it and the complete experience.
